Women of Grace

Women of Grace meets at the church on Tuesdays at 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 7:00-9:00 p.m. for in-depth Bible study, lecture, and prayer time. Homework assignments are explored in the dynamic of small discussion groups. The goal of such studies is to encourage older women to instruct younger women to love their husbands, their children, and to be keepers at home as they grow in Christ-like character.

While Women of Grace meets on Tuesday mornings, Children of Grace (from Nursery to Kindergarten) provides child care and Bible instruction.

Women of Grace (WOG) is committed to teaching God’s Word, as we believe that is where life changes begin. The word of God, "is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword." (cf. Hebrews 4:12) Women of Grace is a special ladies ministry which meets for in-depth Bible study and small group discussion.

Women of Grace seeks to motivate and educate, through the context of transparent accountability to Christ and the Bible. We dedicate ourselves to mentoring relationships, where dynamic discipleship calls us to a higher standard of life change. There are 4 aspects of the weekly Women of Grace…

Weekly Homework
Homework covers preparation for coming lessons, involving questions to answer by personal inductive Bible study. Questions are worded to challenge ladies into the Word of God and draw out a Biblical philosophy of moral, ethical and spiritual answers. Assignments are then explored each Tuesday, in the dynamic of small discussion groups, aimed at refining thinking toward character building.

Bible Memorization
Optional Memory verses are also assigned each week and reviewed during the discussion groups. Scripture memory has enabled all that undertake the challenge to be strengthened in the inner man now, and during trials and gives opportunity to be prepared to answer for the hope we have in Christ Jesus. Although the memory assignments are brief, we have discovered they are really helpful in stirring lively class discussions.

Small Group Prayer
Prayer in each small group sets an atmosphere where lasting friendships are formed as God begins to change lives in answer to prayer. We focus not only on collective prayer needs but specific areas of needed life change, which weekly lessons focus on. This way, the prayer time reinforces group accountability.

Teaching Time
Vibrant lectures are just the icing on the cake as each group comes together to hear the passage, just discussed, presented in expository teaching that wraps up not only the passage but Biblical principles and personal applications drawn from that weeks study. We are committed to explaining the text of the Bible both grammatically and historically, seeking to arrive at what the original human author intended to convey to his original audience. And it is from that interpreted meaning that relevant application is then explored, with a devotional challenge from the lecture. Women of Grace is a rich time of exploring God’s word together and learning how to be a excellent wife, godly mother, and influential mentor to other women.
